Editorial Policy
How we decide what to write
and how to score it.
This page exists because you should be able to evaluate whether to trust a source before you rely on it. Everything below is the unabbreviated version of how Toolspect works.
Six commitments we keep on every article
Tools are selected based on search demand, market relevance, and reader requests — not in exchange for payment, partnership arrangements, or free access. We do not review tools we haven’t personally tested on a paid subscription.
Every review, comparison, and pricing guide on Toolspect is written by Lena Crawford based on her direct testing of the product. We do not use outsourced writers or AI-generated text for core review content.
Pricing figures, feature availability, credit limits, and render specs are verified against the vendor’s official pricing page, help documentation, or a confirmed support response before publication. Where we cite third-party data, we link to the original source.
Affiliate commissions do not influence scores, rankings, or written assessments. Vendors have no input into review content before or after publication. We do not share drafts for approval. Full details: Affiliate Disclosure page.
Factual corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with a date and a description of what changed. We do not silently edit articles to remove errors. To report an error, use the contact form.
Toolspect does not publish sponsored reviews, sponsored rankings, or paid placements. We do not accept payment to feature a tool, move a tool up in a ranking, or write about a product we haven’t tested independently.
What this looks like day to day
If you believe we’ve violated any of these policies, or if you’ve found a factual error anywhere on the site, please contact us directly. Every message is read personally and every correction request is investigated. We take this seriously.
