Collected when you subscribe to the weekly digest. Used only to send the newsletter. Not shared with third parties for marketing. Unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. We use Mailchimp — their privacy policy is at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.
Collected when you submit the contact form. Used only to respond to your enquiry. Not retained beyond the period needed to handle your request. We don’t add contact form submissions to any marketing list.
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, how long visitors stay, and how they arrive. This data is collected anonymously and aggregated — we cannot identify individual visitors from it. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
When you click an affiliate link, the vendor’s own affiliate system records that you arrived via Toolspect. This is handled entirely by the vendor’s systems. We receive aggregated commission reports — we do not receive or store personal data about you as a result of affiliate clicks.
How we use cookies
Toolspect uses cookies for two purposes only. We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioural targeting, or personalisation. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time — this does not affect your ability to read content on this site.

You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If any data we hold is inaccurate, you can ask us to correct it. We’ll update it promptly.
You can request deletion of any personal data we hold. Newsletter subscribers can also simply unsubscribe.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@toolspect.com. If you’re in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — the ICO in the UK (ico.org.uk) or your relevant EU supervisory authority.
RetentionHow long we keep data
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe, at which point it is removed from our mailing list. Contact form data is retained only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, then deleted. Analytics data is subject to Google’s own retention policies. We do not retain personal data beyond these periods.
UpdatesChanges to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. We won’t send a notification email for minor updates, but we will for changes that meaningfully affect how your data is used.
